RIP Weekly News Roundup

A short administrative note:

After a bit of deliberation, I have decided to retire the “weekly news roundup” updates (example here) I have been posting on Notes on the Periphery. While useful for myself and maybe for some of you, I have had to weigh this against two other drawbacks. First, putting together the roundups is time-intensive and draws time away from advancing analysis in topic-specific posts. Second, in terms of stats, readership of the weekly news roundups is not nearly as high as most other posts, suggesting that their value to readers is somewhat minimal.

That said, I will do my best to keep readers up to date sporadically on select topics (e.g., Mali, Pakistan, Bangladesh). Happy to take any comments or suggestions you might have on this change or other administrative notes.
